Maruti Ertiga export to Indonesia by next month end
Do you know which market Maruti Ertiga will be focusing after its grand welcome in India? It’s the north east. Ertiga is expected to be exported to Indonesian market starting next month. As per sources there are chances that Ertiga will be able to register a growth in double digits in this new market. A 10 percent growth is expected nationally. With the Ertiga launch on April 12 in New Delhi, Maruti is launching the seven seater car in other major states and cities of the country. Starting at just Rs 5.89 lakh, the Ertiga has proved itself that it is the closest rival of Toyota Innova in India.

Maruti has been doing well in the North East, said sources and has sold around 36,000 units of various models there in the last fiscal. Now that Maruti India sees prospects in there, it is increasing the number of dealerships in the North East as well as in India. Maruti currently has 31 retail and outlets in the North East. The exports of Ertiga to Indonesia are expected to start by next month end. Ertiga is also expected to increase the share of Maruti cars in Indonesia from current 3 percent to a more decent figure. To keep prices down, Maruti will be exporting Ertiga in CKD form and it will be assembled there.

Notably, this is the first true MPV by Maruti in this segment as far as proportions, power and performance is concerned. The Ertiga mileage of the petrol car is ARAI certified 16.02 kmpl while the diesel Ertiga promises a class leading 20.77 kmpl. With the looks, features such as two air bags, availability in petrol and diesel as well as other comfort features such as dual AC vents, comfy seats etc. are all expected to take Ertiga further in the Indian market as well as other markets to which the car will be exported.
