Maruti Ertiga: more interior features out

Since Maruti Suzuki India showcased its Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Maruti Ertiga in the concept form named Maruti RIII concept at the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo, the rumors and speculations of its launch have become the ‘talk of the nation’. The reason of such bustle is simple, it’s a Maruti product and the excitement two-folds when it is the inaugural offering of the company in this segment. Now, exactly after one year the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will take place at same luminous event. As the exposition is nearing the MPV has been spotted testing many times in the Haryana state. And as per the reliable sources this time a quick look in the modern interiors of the vehicle was seen.

Maruti Ertiga MPV will be able to seat seven occupants and there will be three rows of seats, in the first row two passengers can be seated together with in the middle and last row that comprises of 3+2 people sitting respectively that sums up to seven in all. The vehicle that is said to be based on stretched Ritz platform will feature Air-Conditioner that will be positioned on the roofs of the interiors in order to supply uniform cooling to the occupants apart from the front air-conditioner.

To enter the last row, one needs to tilt the middle row seat that has a come-apart design to facilitate the entrance. The capacious interiors of Maruti Ertiga will offer beige color theme. The head-rest on the top of the seats gives a feel of premium-ness in the inside as they seem to be borrowed from a luxury sedan.

With an estimated displacement of around 1.4L K-series petrol engine, it will be capable of generating an expected peak power of 95 bhp in combination with 130 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, with the 1.3L multi-jet diesel engine, it may produce 89 bhp of maximum power along with maximum torque of 200 Nm.

This product is sure to offer a sound competition to the likes of Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova with its advance features and incomparable pricing. Maruti Ertiga is expected to be launched in petrol as well as diesel as fuel choice and may fall in the price bracket of INR 7 to 8 Lakh.
