Maruti Ertiga to launch in April

As the time of Maruti Ertiga launch is inching closer, its hype in the entire automobile industry is going on heights. There is a buzz in the automotive industry that Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its first compact MPV, Ertiga by March end or in April beginning. The Utility Vehicle segment in India accounts for around 14 percent and to cope up the increasing competition Maruti would not leave any stone unturned to make this MUV a significant product in the domestic region.

Earlier last month, Maruti showcased a prototype of Ertiga that made the onlookers worried about its absolute elegance. This car is going to have a unique outfit which will be enchanted by its exotic front grille resembling to the grille of Maruti Swift hatchback, its broad blendy headlamps, appealing front fog lamps, body colored bumpers and body colored ORVMs. The side profile of this car will be bestowed with symmetric curves, while the rear profile of this car will showcase body colored rear spoiler, rear wiper, body colored bumper and tail lamps resembling to Ritz.

Interiors of Maruti Ertiga will have fresh three spokes power steering with audio controls on it and well designed dash and instrument cluster. The music system will it’s another USP as it will have 4 + 2 speakers supported by USB Aux. As far as the capacity is concerned, the Ertiga will have enough space to accommodate 7 passengers (2+3+2) with ease.

In terms of performance too, Ertiga is said to have enough power churning caliber. This car is said to blessed with a light weight 1.4 liter K-14 petrol engine that will have caliber to toss out maximum power of 95 PS at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 130 Nm at 4000 rpm. It is said that this engine will be one of the most fuel efficient engine in its class as it will have commendable mileage of 16 kmpl.

Furthermore, the Ertiga is also said to come in a 1.3 liter DDiS diesel Super Turbo Diesel engine that will be efficient enough to churn 90 PS maximum power with 200 Nm peak torque. Moreover, expectations are that this car would be tagged in the range of Rs. 6 – 8 lakhs to grab a larger volume of MPV buyers.
