Maruti hits the 1 Million mark production of K-series engine
In a recent statement, Maruti stated that they have crossed the mark of production of 1 million K-series engines, which are known for their better fuel efficiency and are currently powering the company’s most popular cars like Maruti Swift, Maruti Zen Estilo, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Alto K10.
The K-series engines were introduced back in October 2008 in Maruti A-Star and now they are manufactured at the Gurgaon plant.
Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager of Marketing for Maruti Suzuki India spoke on this accomplishment and said that this is a very proud moment for the company and over the last many years the company has tried its level best to provide the customers with best possible vehicles and ensure customer satisfaction.
Being the leader of the Indian Auto market for many years, Maruti has produced some of the greatest cars that have completely captured the buyer’s attention and thus the company always strives to improve its technologies with time.
Out of the total 1 million engines, about 3.5 lakh engines are fitted in Maruti A-Star, 1.9 lakh engines in Maruti Wagon R, 1.36 lakh engines in Maruti Alto K-10, 1.24 lakh engines in Maruti Swift, 1.05 lakh engines in Maruti Estilo and 95,000 engines are fitted in Maruti Ritz.
