Maruti RIII to be launched in 2012
Maruti is planning to launch its MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) Maruti RIII by the end of next year. The much awaited car gained huge popularity when it was showcased in the January 2010 in the Delhi Auto Expo where it was able to grab the attention of various car lovers.
It is expected that Maruti will launch this car in the 2012 DelhiAuto Expo.
Presently, the car is getting its finishing touches at Suzuki’s Japan facility where it will be produced once the testing finishes.
The all new Maruti RIII is expected to be stocked with a 1248cc DDiS diesel engine which is currently powering the famous sedan, Maruti SX4 Diesel. The powerful engine will provide Maruti RIII with a maximum power of 89 bhp and a max torque of 20.5 kgm.
The launch of the diesel engine powered Maruti RIII will be followed by the launch of 1.2L petrol engine variant which is expected to be equipped with a 1.2 L K-series engine.
The Maruti RIII is expected to be launched under the price range of Rs. 7 lakh.
The Company, however is yet to unveil the price details and the features list but a great MUV can easily be expected from them.
