Maruti Suzuki Ciaz launched, priced Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom price)
With an objective to strengthen its position in C segment cars in Indian car market and to enjoy the success which was not enjoyed by Balero and SX4 sedans, country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL today launched one of its highly awaited C segment sedan Ciaz in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). Launched in both petrol and diesel trim the new sedan Ciaz is offered in four variants namely Vxi, Vxi+, Zxi and Zxi+.
The petrol version is empowered with 1.4 litre K series petrol engine boosting the power of 93 bhp and torque of 130Nm. Whereas the diesel variant is empowered with 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine churning the power of 90 bhp and torque of 200Nm. Both the engines are mated with five speed manual gearbox followed by four speed automatic transmission system offered in petrol version.
The new Ciaz is perfect match of latest technical and comfort features which would definitely grab the attention car enthusiasts at first instance. One thing however which is surprising about Ciaz is absence of Lxi variant from the line up of variants which are mainly offered in company’s vehicles. The top end variant of sedan bags some interesting features like keyless entry, projector headlamps, multi-functionary steering wheel, air conditioner with climate control, rear air conditioner vents, dual airbags, ABS+EBD and 16 inch multi spoke alloy wheels.
