Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS prices slashed
Considering the decline on excise duty imposed by Delhi government from 24 percent to 12.5 percent, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has slashed the prices of the diesel variant of its luxurious sedan Ciaz with immediate effect. The new price of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Diesel now begins from Rs. 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for base variant and going high up-to Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for its top variant. The prices of all trims falling under this specific variant have been reduced from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 69,000, depending upon the trim purchased by buyer.
Empowered with 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine boosting the power of 90PS and torque of 200Nm the engine of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Diesel is mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. The SHVS system has been introduced in diesel variant that integrates starter with auto start stop function followed by brake energy recovery system delivering high level of fuel efficiency. The decision of MSIL reducing the price of Ciaz SHVS could impact the sales of Honda City which at present dominates the segment.
As it is known that Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been one of the best selling products by country’s leading car maker MSIL in both Indian and International market.
