Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Bags 53,000 Bookings Before Launch
After the successful launch of the upgraded compact SUV, Vitara Brezza as Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the country’s leading car-making company Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is all set to launch the Grand Vitara in the Indian car market by the end of this month. The Indo-Japanese carmaker had already initiated the bookings of the SUV from July 11, 2022. Within the two months after starting the bookings, the company has received almost 53,000 bookings so far ahead of its launch. Grand Vitara will be manufactured in the production unit of Toyota Motors located in Karnataka.
Under the hood, the Grand Vitara will receive power from a 1.5-litre hybrid engine designed to churn the power of 114 bhp, whereas the mild hybrid engine will churn the power of 101 bhp.
With the launch of the Grand Vitara, the carmaker will re-launch the brand in the Indian car market. After launch in the Indian car market, the Grand Vitara will go against the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Volkswagen Taigun. According to the sources of the company, it will be a fuel-efficient SUV in the country.
