Maruti Suzuki India Limited Launches S-Cross Facelift in India
With plethora of cosmetic updates country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the facelift of its not so popular cross-over S-Cross in Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). According to the sources of company it has invested more than Rs. 100 crores for developing the new S-Cross due to which 95% of its raw material has been purchased from local market. The facelift S-Cross is offered in four trims, Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

Mechanically the Indo-Japanese car maker has discontinued the 1.6 litre diesel engine, whereas the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine is now upgraded with Smart Hybrid (SHVS) technology that is capable for generating the power of 89 bhp and torque of 200Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gearbox transmission system. The news SHVS engine is enriched with features like idle-stop, brake energy regeneration system, gearshift indicator and torque assist feature.
Inside the cabin it endorses with completely new interior pattern, newly developed dashboard, upholstery and new touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Mirror Link. Whereas on the safety front it adorns features like dual airbags, ABS+EBD,ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard features. The other safety features include keyless entry with push start and stop button, rear parking camera and sensors.
On the exterior front is bestows features refreshed front fascia in form of new chrome grille followed by redesigned headlamps, projector lights with LED DRLs, newly developed front bumper with enlarged airdam followed by foglamps. The other exterior features include set of new alloy wheels, new ORVMs with electronic turn indicators. The top end variant will be boasted with LED taillights and new rear bumper.
