Maruti Suzuki retrenches the price of S-Cross DDiS 320 upto Rs. 5 Lakh
Launched with high expectations and under aggressive promotional strategy the first cross over S-Cross from country’s leading car manufacturer MSIL which is being sold through Nexa dealership across the country seems to lose its charm among the Indian buyers. The cross over which succeeded in over shadowing the presence of its contenders like Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport is struggling to retain its position. And after six months after its launch the dealers are offering huge discount on purchase of S-Cross.

It is reported that dealers of Indo-Japanese car maker in Mumbai have offered significant discount and additional benefits about Rs. 5 lakh on purchase of S-Cross DDiS variant energized with 1.6 litre diesel engine. The decision regarding discount has been taken to disburse the excess of inventory available for S-Cross. As an impact of this dealers are compelled to offer huge discount on this cross over.

As reported earlier the S-Cross was launched by MSIL in Indian car market in the month of August 2015 with starting price of Rs. 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom price) with two engine options of 1.3 litre and 1.6 litre mated with five speed and six speed manual gear transmission system respectively. According to reports the cross over however did not succeed in impressing the critics and was criticized because of its high price as compared to its contenders.
