Maruti SX4 facelift might arrive soon

Maruti Suzuki India is not only working on small cars, but also putting in a lot of efforts to make its sedans work well in the market. The latest example is the 2013 Maruti SX4 facelift model, which was caught testing on the Indian roads a couple of months ago. Apparently, the facelift Maruti Sx4 sedan is expected to arrive in India by March 2013. The price tag is unknown, but being the facelift, the price will be a bit higher as compared to the current cost.

Talking about the changes, the exteriors of the new Maruti SX4 features reworked front grille along with redesigned front bumper, and sporty side skirts. The nose of the car is also revised, which resemble to the SX4 of China. To add a bit of glamour, a lot of chrome hints have been added to the outside of new SX4. However, the interiors and the technical specifications haven’t been touched as such. You would see the 2013 Maruti SX4 with similar interiors and same engine options.

As before, this new model will be offered in 3 engine options- 1.6-Litre petrol with VVT technology, 1.3-Litre turbo diesel engine with variable geometry turbo charger and last but not the least, 1.6-Litre dual CNG-petrol engine option. These engines will be mated with five speed manual transmission, while the top end petrol variant will be featuring 4-speed automatic gearbox.

This time around, Maruti Suzuki has focused on the exterior part more as compared to the interiors and even tweaking the engine a bit. The possible reason behind this might be that the new 2013 Face-lifted Maruti SX4 is just for the interim relief for the fans till the time the whole new Maruti Suzuki SX4 model arrives in 2014.
