Maruti Wagon R all set to get a facelift
India’s largest car maker will debut its launch spree with the new Maruti Wagon R. The facelift of this best selling Maruti hatchback will be launched this month. Though the model has been on the facelift radar now and then so as to keep it abreast with the current developments in design and customer demand but this time it is expected that this makeover will be sustained for quite sometime. The Wagon R is among the best selling hatchbacks and its candidature has strengthened with the no concern attitude towards Hyundai Santro by the Koreans. Earlier, these two cars competed head on in the country and even then Wagon R emerged as the choice of the country. The Wagon R price in India starts at Rs 3.50 lakh and its diesel variant is highly awaited as well.

2013 will be a year when Maruti will sensationalize the Indian car maker with its car offerings and Wagon R will be among them prominently. Other biggest launch this year from Maruti will be the SUV Maruti XA Alpha. As per the updates and reports, the new Wagon R will have lot of changes on the exterior as well as on the inside. The car can be comfortably called to be an entirely new car in the waiting.

Among the most important changes will be a new grille, new bumpers with prominent and black grilled air dam space thus giving the new car a look that it needs more space to breathe. As the car is already performing well, there will hardly be any changes in the engine configuration. However, what some believe is that Maruti could stun the car buyers with that of a diesel motor under the hood. But this seems to impossible right now as Maruti is short of such a small-to-fit diesel engine for Wagon R.
