Maruti Wagon R Pro limited edition launched

India’s largest car maker has launched its best selling tallboy car Maruti Wagon R Pro in India today. The new car has a lot of accessories that are otherwise available at a higher cost but Maruti is offering those at a reduced price in order to boost sales. The Hyundai Santro rival car is available by paying just Rs 20,000 more than the price of the standard variant. This is an incredible offer ahead of the festive season and this is seen as a damage control mechanism that Maruti has adopted after the sales of the Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire were affected due to the lockout at the Manesar plant. Though the production has begun under heavy security with only 300 workers at the plant, the real production will take time to streamline.

As per Maruti, the offer on the Wagon R Pro is a once in a lifetime offer and the ten accessories that are part of the Pro model of Wagon R are worth Rs 30,000 but following the coming festive season, the car maker is offering it at a discounted price. This car has been the bestselling car by the maker after Maruti Alto and Swift but it has seen a downslide majorly due to the rise in petrol prices recently. The trend is hoped to continue as the petrol prices are heading for another increase shortly. Meanwhile, the offer will be helping those who have already made up their mind to buy this car and these people will instead pay Rs 20,000 extra to be the Wagon R Pro.

Among the ten new accessories that Maruti is offering on Wagon R Pro are new body graphics to make the more sporty looking, rear spoiler again to give the sports car look, bumper protectors for the front and rear bumper, an inbuilt car perfume that keeps the interiors fresh, wheel covers that are not part of the standard equipment, side molding which again enhances the sporty appeal of the car. In the entertainment department, Maruti offers 4 way speakers of 16 cm size attached to the USB compliant DIN music system to keep the occupants entertained on the go. Besides, the Pro version of the Wagon R has basic mats and seat covers.
