Mercedes Benz GL 63 AMG landing on April 15, 2014
German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz is going to launch AMG version of Mercedes Benz GL Class in Indian car market on April 15, 2014. The upcoming GL 63 AMG is developed platform of company GL-Class SUV followed by AMG badge, this SUV is one of the premium SUV’s developed by the German car maker. The upcoming GL 63AMG is powered with 5.5 litre Biturbo V8 engine developing the power of 549 bhp and torque of 760 Nm and mated with 7G Tronic AMG automatic transmission system. The power to front and rear wheels is sent in ration of 40:60. The SUV accelerates the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 4.9 seconds.
The SUV bestows AMG steering wheel, new sports seats, active curve control (facilitating the driver to sustain appropriate control on his driving while moving through deep curves. On the exterior front the SUV receives 21 inch alloy wheels and AMG quad tailpipes followed by Chrome slats. With this the SUV is also blessed with AMG ride control enabled suspension system.
The upcoming SUV GL 63 AMG will be brought in Indian car market through CBU route while its elder sibling GL 350 CDI is assembled in Indian car market. It is speculated that it will be offered with price tag falling between Rs. 1.5 crore and Rs. 2.4 crore and will compete against Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and Range Rover.
