Mitsubishi Mirage Eco recalled, India launch this year
Japanese car maker Mitsubishi has recalled Mitsubishi Mirages Eco car in Thailand. The recall has been declared primarily due to some problem with the fuel gauge. The company has made it clear that the recall is totally local and does not in any affects the Mirages exported to Japan and Brunei. Over 10,300 cars have been recalled as per the reports and this includes over 8000 units of Mirage sold to the customers and around 2300 units with the car dealers across Thailand. As per the official information, the recall will be mending the malfunctioning fuel gauge. Notably, the Mitsubishi Mirage is an upcoming car in India and is expected to place itself in the premium hatchback segment.

Mitsubishi will be informing the customers and will be checking that cars once these are taken to the workshops. If a faulty fuel gauge was found, it will be replaced without further delay free of cost. As per the reports, there have been over 11 cases in which the car owner have reported that the fuel gauge does not work and due to which they had to stall in the middle of their journey. As per some other reports, the possible cause of the fault is the quality of the fuel used in Thailand as the same fuel gauge works fine in other car markets such as Japan and Brunei. However, the Japanese car maker will be replacing the fuel gauge with a new one. Out of the 10,300 cars, the 8000 cars that have been delivered to customers since March have been recalled while the 2300 cars that are with the car dealers will be first checked before delivery to the customers.
