Mitsubishi recalls Outlander SUV

The Mitsubishi Outlander has been recalled in India following a minor glitch in the fuel supply system of the car. Notably, the recall is on some models only and Hindustan Motors that has technical collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Japan has said in its recall that there is a defect detected in the Outlander SUV fuel pump of only some of the models. The company has recalled the Outlander SUVs built since 2008 in India. As part of the recall, the fuel pump and other fuel system will be checked and if there is a need, it will be replaced by Mitsubishi. The exact number of Outlander SUVs affected by the recall is still unclear.

This is not a major defect and the replacement will be quick so the SUV owners need not have to wait for long. Notably, Mitsubishi and HM which are the manufacturers of Hindustan Ambassador and other commercial vehicles have technical collaboration and HM shares some technology with the earlier.
