MSIL speculates to produce 80, 000 units of Ciaz annually, export to start from November

Yesterday on October 6, 2014 country’s leading car manufacturer MSIL launched its second launch of year the highly awaited C segment sedan Ciaz in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). Addressing the launching event of Ciaz, high officials of MSIL said that going through the Make in India initiative initiated by honorable Prime Minister of India the new Ciaz would be made completely on Indian soil. They also added that apart from being sold in Indian car market the sedan would also be sold in markets of European, South American, African and South East Asian countries. It is speculated that the export of Ciaz would begin from next month and the first fleet of Ciaz would be exported to Latin America, Middle East and Africa.

According to sources of company Ciaz has already registered the bookings of more than 10,000 prior to its launch. Launched in both petrol and diesel variants the Ciaz is blessed with various remarkable features which apart from offering comfort travelling experience to passengers also delivers the fuel efficient performance. The sources said that company targets to manufacture 60,000 units of 80,000 units of Ciaz annually. The sedan will compete against other established sedans in C segment including Verna from Hyundai and new Honda City.
