MSIL Starts Receiving The Bookings of WagonR
Country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started receiving the bookings of generation next WagonR at the down payment of Rs. 11,000/-. The generation WagonR is slated for the launch on January 23, 2019. The worth mentioning the feature of new WagonR is that it is developed on the new Heartect Platform that is used for developing Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire. Earlier, it was reported that going through the increasing cost of manufacturing for developing the hatchback on Heartect Platform, the carmaker is going to develop the new tallboy hatchback on its existing platform. But, interestingly, the Japanese carmakers have denied all these rumors and confirmed that it will be developed on the new Heartect Platform and not on its existing platform.
Talking about the engine configuration, the company has not yet revealed any information regarding this, but, it is rumored that under the hood, the new WagonR will be offered with either 1.0 litre or 1.2 litre petrol engine, which will be mated with the options of five-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmission system. According to the company sources, in its third generation, WagonR will be equipped with a plethora of safety and NVH features.
As far as the integration of new features are concerned, inside the cabin it will receive Smartplay Studio Touchscreen infotatinment system, followed by Apply CarPlay and Android Auto support. Moving towards the safety features it will be equipped with ABS+EBD, speed alert system, driver airbag, and rear parking sensors as standard features on all the trims. With four new colors options including Pearl Nutmeg Brown, Pearl Autumn Orange, Pearl Poolside Blue and Magma Grey, the new WagonR is speculated to be launched with the price tag starting from Rs. 4.5 lakh.
