MSIL to Launch Facelift S-Cross During Diwali

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross the first ever cross-over from country’s leading car maker MSIL although did not succeed in gardening the expected profits to the Indo-Japanese car makers but still it is liked by the segment of car enthusiasts who prefer to drive power packed vehicle, thanks to 1.6 litre diesel engine. According to recent industry reports the Indian arm of Japanese car maker is now going to launch the facelift version of S-Cross sometimes during the festival of Diwali this year in Indian car market. The facelift S-Cross is already on sale in European car market and is embellished with contemporary features, which are expected to be continued in Indian car market too.

Mechanically the S-Cross will continue with existing engine configurations of 1.3l itre DDiS engine and 1.6 litre diesel engine boosting the power of 89 bhp and torque of 200Nm and 118 bhp and torque of 320Nm respectively. It is speculated that car makers might also introduce petrol variant also in the facelift version.

On exterior front the facelift S-Cross will receive new and enlarged front grille, new diamond cut alloy wheels, projector head lamps, LED DRLs, and LED tail lights. Inside the cabin it will sport upgraded dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with MirrorLink. The facelift S-Cross will continue to be sold through Nexa showrooms across the country. As far as price is concerned it is believed to be slightly higher than its existing avatar.
