MSIL to sale 5000 units of S-Cross per month
It seems that country’s leading car maker MSIL is in hurry to break the dominance of major SUV’s like Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster in Indian car market. According to recent just two days after launching its first ever crossover S-Cross in Indian car market, company is planning to sale 4k to 5ik units of S-Cross every month in India. This was told by Mr. T. Hashimoto, Executive Director and Head of Marketing and Sales during the launch of vehicle in Mumbai yesterday, according to him company has set a selling target of S-Cross for domestic market and is planning to sale 4000 to 5000 units every month. He also said that going through the demand in Indian car market the production of cross over will be determined.

The crossover in Indian car market was launched on August 5, 2015 with two engine options of 1.2 litre DDiS and 1.6 litre DDiS in diesel variant in overall seven trims. Revealing company’s future plans Mr. R.S. Kalsi, Executive Director and Head of Sales and Marketing said that company is not planning to export this version crossover across the boundary as the version launched in India has undergone various cosmetic changes.
It would be interested to know that in recent years SUV’s have dominated Indian car market to great extent mainly by Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster. The segment has got fired by one more contender launched by second largest car manufacturer HMIL in Indian car market in form of Hyundai Creta and now with S-Cross it is speculated that competition will get more difficult in coming days.
