New BMW 3 Series to hit showrooms in July in India

BMW will launch its sixth generation of its BMW 3 Series sedan on July 19 in India with more comfort and styling. The German car maker has tested the BMW 3 Series in India. The car has been spotted testing on Pune roads. The BMW 3 Series will be made available in the Indian market with improvements in styling and designing language also the chassis is finely balanced as BMW focused on the drive and chassis technology to develop the sedan. The BMW 3 Series gives option to choose from a list of driving modes. It is a fuel efficient vehicle which is comfortable for driver as its steering has a natural and fluid feel. The media report suggests that it would be sold in the Indian market at around Rs 25 lakh.

BMW has made many changes in the existing older variants of 3 Series to develop the sixth generation of its 3 Series sedan. The new headlamp gives it a sportier look which extends up to the kidney grille. Also, it will come with twin larger intakes positioned underneath the headlamps. It has got a new eight speed automatic transmission unit. Earlier, in older variants of 3 Series, it was six speed unit. It is expected that the German auto makers will give choices to customers as it will come up with 3 Series with different engine options which are robust and efficient engines.

In the US too, these engines have been made available with the model launched recently. The two engines are 6-cylinder N 55 engine that is being used in BMW 335i and new turbocharged 4-cylinder (N20) powertrain that powers BMW 328i. These engines are fuel efficient and give a comfortable ride to the drivers and passengers. The interior of the 3 Series will have more space because of larger dimensions.

Along with this great premium launch, a brawny vehicle called Renault Duster is also ready to get unchained in the first week of July 2012. The compact SUV is expected to eat away the market of some premium sedans like Honda City and proper SUVs such as Mahindra Scorpio due to its expected aggressive pricing.
