New Chevrolet Spark launch in US this summer, Chevy banks on Spark’s high mileage
GM owned Chevrolet is soon to launch the new version of front-wheel-drive hatchback minicar Chevrolet Spark (known as Chevrolet Beat in India) in the US. Expected to take the small car market by storm, Chevy Spark promises highway fuel economy of around 40 mpg. In the light of the continual increase in the gasoline prices, the Chevrolet Spark will be the favorite of the mileage conscious. Besides, the new Spark’s exceptionally low price will attract many new car buyers towards it. The new Spark will be launched in US this summer and an electric Spark is also said to be in the offing.

Back in India, the Chevrolet Beat (known as Chevrolet Spark in US) has also been very successful and was able to deliver exceptional sales for the American car maker in March. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel has been particularly the favorite small car in the recent times in India beating Skoda Fabia, Volkswagen Polo, Renault Pulse and Maruti Swift. Small car proportions as well as high mileage and the brand value have all helped the car maintain good presence in India. The same is expected with the new Spark in US which is its homeland.

The Chevy Spark is the smallest of all the offering by the car maker in US and is a front wheel driven four door mini hatchback intended for urban commuting. The 2013 Spark has been developed in Korean and it is from there that it will be supplied to US. Designed like the bigger hatchback Chevrolet Sonic, the Spark will be focusing the urban population that needed a peppier car for the everyday need.
