New Honda Civic launch in India in unsure

It seems that India will have to carry on with the present generation Honda Civic as the car maker is reeling under sever crisis and it seems that it has postponed its idea of bringing in the new model of the car. For Honda everything seems to be wrong foot since last year and after a slight breather in January – February this year, the car maker had to succumb to the then rise in petrol price. The impact was felt instantly and Honda cars being offered in petrol only option in India had to face severe sales loss. Whereas other car makers survived the wave as their diesel models did well and the loss was compensated.  

The US has it, Thailand, Australia and other international markets has it but India seems to remain devoid of it. Reason: In India, diesel cars are taking the wheel while petrol cars are not selling that well as they used to be. The new Civic is in its ninth generation internationally and India has the eighth generation car in place. Notably, after Honda City, the Civic is the best selling premium sedan by the car maker and is preferred rival of Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Verna, Renault Fluence, Skoda Laura and others. The Civic sedan is preferred for its robust brand, extremely appealing looks and features.

Meanwhile, where Honda seems to have postponed the idea of bringing the new Civic, experts believe that the car maker must be busy in finalizing the line up diesel cars that it is expected to launch this Diwali. Some sources believe that the Civic will arrive sooner or later. As per the information, Honda will be launching Honda Brio Diesel, Honda Civic diesel as well as Honda CR V diesel soon in India. It is expected that if Honda manages to price its diesel models well, the brand will witness a sudden comeback as people trust Honda cars just as they do Maruti cars.
