New Honda CRV 2013 to launch in India on 12th Feb

Honda India is ready to bring in the 2013 Honda CR-V crossover to the Indian car market really soon. The date has been fixed and the car will be launched on 12th February 2013. What is interesting here is that the car will arrive here with a very decent price tag. The reason behind this is that the car will be assembled in India, which would control the pricing of the car and promise the Indian consumer that it will not be extremely heavy on pocket. The older model of Honda CR-V came with a hefty price tag as it was brought to India via CBU route.

Coming to the details of 2013 Honda CR-V, the car will come installed with a 2.4 litre i-VTEC engine that would deliver 180BHP of power. However, there will be another engine option comprising of 2.0 litre i-VTEC engine producing 150BHP of power.  This one might be coupled with 6-Speed manual transmission, while the 2.4 litre model might get 5-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the absence of diesel engine option would certainly affect the sales figures of the car for Honda India as its competitors are being offered in diesel engine option. The major competitors of new Honda CR-V comprise of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, recently launched Ssangyong Rexton and Toyota Fortuner .

One of the major improvements besides the engine in 2013 Honda CR-V will be the ride and handling. Better grip and high standard of handling would surely enhance the driving pleasure for the driver.
