New Honda CRV Details Leaked
Till now, Honda has been keeping the details of its 2012 CR-V Crossover SUV secret. Nothing was known about it until the company released its image, but no specifications came out. But now the details have leaked on the internet. Though, this is being considered a marketing strategy from the Japenese automobile company, to keep the 2012 CR-V in news.
The looks of the new 2012 CR-V have been changed, and now it looks more dynamic and sporty. The headlights and the front grille look aggresive in this new version. The all new and smartly designed front bumper changes the whole look and feel of the SUV. It will be powered by 2.4L and 2.5L engines. These engines will be based on the famous i-VTEC technology that helps in better performance and fuel efficiency. It will also be available in Diesel variant. The 2.4L Petrol engine will produce maximum of 175bhp power and 230nm torque. The power is comparatively less than the present model, which has perhaps been done to improve fuel efficiency of the SUV. The 2.5L Petrol engine 2012 CR-V will produce maximum of 201bhp power and 240nm torque.
The new 2012 CR-V will, however, have the same 5 speed automatic transmission. Honda will, some time later, launch a Diesel variant for Europe and some Asian markets including India. The Diesel variant will be powered by a common rail turbo diesel engine.
Honda plans to launch the new 2012 CR-V in India, sometime in the next year. Though, the international launch is expected in November this year, at Los Angeles Motor Show.
