New Honda CRV launched, 2.2 L diesel engine on duty
Honda’s most popular SUV CRV has arrived in a new garb in South Africa. It is expected that the new Honda CRV launch in India will be sometime next year, hopefully in the early months. The CRV SUV in India has seen some tough times recently following its non availability in diesel and this is the reason why only a handful of it are seen on roads. However, those who wish to have some truly powered SUV always go for this Honda SUV as it gives them the styling, power and performance and a willingness to win any terrain.

Due to being only on petrol, the SUV had to face toughest ever competition with Toyota Fortuner which is the segment’s best selling SUV and others including recently launched Mahindra Rexton, Mitsubishi Outlander and Ford Endeavour. Another factor that has deterred the SUV selling in huge numbers is its price. The Honda CRV price in India is Rs 22.65 lakh to Rs 24.90 lakh which is more than any of the SUVs that are in competition. Now that the South African version of this car has got a diesel heart and is pending India launch, it is believed that this car will soon be on the hit list of SUV buyers.

The South African new Honda CRV has three engine options besides the new styling and other changes. The diesel engine is a 2.2 L turbo diesel engine that has a max power delivery upto 148 bhp which is sufficient enough to take the SUV out of any of the toughest terrains. The new Honda CRV is same as the Euro model. And it is expected that the same line up will be copied in India as well as soon as the new version arrives in here.
