New Honda CRV SUV launch early next year, diesel variant to follow it
The year 2013 seems to bring good luck to the Japanese car manufacturer Honda. The year 2012 has not. The launch of the Honda Brio hatchback has been a savior for the car maker and it is believed that the absence of diesel models is highly irking the sales. Thus sensing this, the car maker could be launching a series of diesel cars. The launch spree will begin with the new Honda CRV that is slated to be launched early next year. It is also said that the new CRV diesel will soon follow the petrol model launch. As per various reports, the new Honda SUV was spotted on the streets of Noida recently.

The new CRV will have 185 bhp power engine and it will have a cubic capacity of 2.4 litre. The engine will have a matching 5 speed transmission that will ensure that the wheels get whatever power the engine produces. The new Honda CRV price will be around Rs 28 lakh and a January or February launch is what is on the cards. Notably, the car maker is also eager on launching the diesel variants of its other cars and these will include both the Honda City diesel and Honda Civic diesel. Meanwhile the Honda Brio based sedan launch is also nearing and it will be known as Honda Amaze.

Honda has suffered a lot due to the lack of diesel engine options and it will be getting rid of this shortcoming soon. Meanwhile, reports are also in that it will also be launching the Honda Brio diesel which will be highly accepted in the country. A CNG model of the Honda CRV is also expected and it will be just Rs 50k more than the petrol variant. The recent entry of the Brio Automatic is creating a sensation and it is leading the small automatic car segment in the country beating Maruti A Star and others.
