New Hyundai Elantra possibly be displayed at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo
The Korean carmaker in the country, Hyundai Motors may unveil another ‘Fluidic ideology’ oriented vehicle in the form of Hyundai Elantra (also sold with the name of Hyundai Avante in some countries) after the expected showcasing of 2012 Hyundai Tucson at the Delhi Auto Expo. The earlier version of Elantra that was introduced in 2004 was discontinued in 2007, due to dud sales response in the country.
The D-segment sedan Hyundai Elantra Fluidic will make way difficult for the hot-sellers Skoda Laura, Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic in India. The revived sedan may see a late 2012 launch within the price range starting from INR 18 Lakh for base variant and going all the way to INR 21 Lakh for the top-end variant.

The Hyundai Avante or Elantra that is also called as Hyundai i35 in South Korea was displayed at the Busan International Motor Show last year. The sedan will be seen with totally restructured exterior with the incorporation of Fluidic Sculpture along with luxurious interiors that will be equipped with present day gadgets and class leading technology.

Across the globe the sedan is sold with a 1.6L petrol engine that will certainly have a diesel variant when it is launched in India. The engine is capable to produce a promising power of 140 bhp along with better fuel economy in its segment.
