New Mahindra XUV 500 in the making!, launch next month
The Mahindra XUV 500 is now almost one year and four months old and there are reports suggesting that it is heading for a makeover soon. Launched in September 2011, the XUV 500 was an instant success and the SUV car market got what it longed for since the launch of Tata Safari. Be it looks or features, this Mahindra SUV have beaten all its rivals. Though Tata has again attempted a return in the segment with the Tata Safari Storme but the car is still to pose some decent numbers on the sales chart. Not only in India, the car has registered its presence in Australia and Europe as well. Mahindra is also thinking of expanding the export destinations of the XUV 500.

As per reports, the new XUV 500 will have no changes as far as the overall design is concerned but it will have several upgrades and refinements based on the feedback that the car maker has received since the launch of this car. Among the upgrades will be a new infotainment system and it will have a revamped braking system that will greatly improve the performance of the car. In addition to this, some of the things on the inside of the car will be included in the makeover. There is no under the hood department changes and the 2.2 L mHawk engine will continue to power this Cheetah inspired SUV.

It is also believed that with the new XUV 500, the car maker will also be launching the petrol powered variant and this will also open up new export destinations for the Mahindra SUV. It is also expected that there could a price revision and a slight increase in price is what the experts believe to be on cards. The new improvements in this car will further strengthen its position in the market in comparison of Force One SUV and Tata Safari Storme.
