New Maruti Ertiga Price and Features

Maruti Ertiga Life Utility Vehicle is finally launched in India at an exciting starting price of Rs 5.89 lakh for the petrol version. The under Rs 6 lakh price is going to reform the MPV segment in toto and Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 must be feeling the tremors already and sources say that both could launch low priced editions to counter Ertiga soon. It is not at all the case that being low priced Ertiga has in any way compromised with quality. As per the principle followed by Maruti, Ertiga has entered the segment with a bang and at a never heard start price. The high end petrol – Ertiga ZXi is priced at Rs 7.30 lakh while the top model in diesel – Ertiga ZDi is priced at Rs 8.45 lakh which is much below the price of Rs 8.89 lakh where Toyota Innova line up starts.

Among the exterior features the Ertiga has stylish cluster headlamps, smart side view mirrors with side indicators on them, aerodynamic styling, all 15-inch alloy wheels, class apart rail lights and in-built fog lamps. The Ertiga interiors are all the more attractive and comfortable with a sporty dashboard, steering mounted audio controls, door handles clad in chrome, pockets for bottles at the front and rear, in built audio system, newly designed instrument cluster, roof ac vents for the second row seats and high quality leather seats are worth mentioning. Among the versatility features the Ertiga has lots of boot space and all upright seats and comfortable entry and exit for the third row passengers.

As part of safety features, the Ertiga is equipped with dual SRS airbags at the front and Maruti has used high tensile steel in the body frame to make it impact resistant. Anti-lock Braking system and Electronic Brakeforce distribution are there to ensure controlled braking and high safety on road. Performance is not at an issue with Ertiga as it has highly powerful engine options. The petrol powered Ertiga LXi, VXi and ZXi have a K14 VVT petrol engine while Ertiga LDi, VDi and ZDi have a D13 DDiS diesel engine. Both these engine promise class leading fuel economy of 16.02 kmpl on petrol and 20.77 kmpl on diesel.
