New Porsche 911 Carrera launched at Frankfurt
The German automobile company Porsche showcased the new model of its sports car 911 Carrera, yesterday at the Frankfurt Auto Show. This is the seventh upgraded model of the car, which was first introduced in 1963.
The new 911 Carrero is lighter and more powerful than its predecessor. It is available in two variants. One has 350hp power and the other one has 400hp power. It has a longer wheelbase and improved handling with the help of a new rear axle. However, the look of the car is almost the same, with long and low hood, prominent headlamps and sloping roofline.

Mattias Muller, CEO of Porsche said that 911 Carrera is a comprehension of their brand. He added that since its launch, 700,000 911s have been sold, and 80% of them are still very much driveable.
The new 911 Carrera has been priced at 88,037 Euro in Germany. Whereas, the more powerful Carrera S has been priced at 102,436 Euro. In the US, the prices start from $82,100 and $96,400.

Porsche is currently offering five of its cars in the Indian market. Porsche 911 is one of them, and it is priced between Rs. 93,41,000 - Rs. 169,04,000. Porsche Boxter is priced between Rs. 57,26,000 - Rs. 73,10,000.
Porsche Cayenne is priced between Rs. 64,99,000 - Rs. 1,28,17,000. Porsche Cayman is priced in the range of Rs. 62,07,000 - Rs. 75,74,000. And its fifth offering Porsche Panamera is priced in the range of Rs. 1,44,49,000 - Rs. 2,09,89,000.
