New Volvo V40 2013 to launch soon in India
Volvo India is ready to launch the new and refreshed 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country to the Indian car market very soon. The car is expected to hit the Indian markets by March this year. However, the firm hasn’t announced the launch date officially, but it will be done in just couple of weeks. Just like other Volvo cars in India, this one too will be brought to the country via CBU route, which means expect a high price tag attached to it. But, as it has major competition coming from Audi Q4, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz B Class Sports Tourer, there is a possibility that Volvo will keep the price competitive and viable. Another thing that Volvo is considering besides the price is the engine options. Seeing the high demand for diesel cars, it is expected that 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country might be launched in both turbo diesel and petrol engine options.
Talking about the detailed specs, if Volvo V40 Cross Country is brought in with diesel engine option, the car might get fitted with D4-inline four cylinder engine that would churn out good power of 177BHP with 400Nm of torque. On the other hand, the petrol engine would be powerful enough to produce 254BHP of maximum power output and 400Nm of peak torque. Both these engine will be coupled with 6-Speed Automatic Transmission.
Apart from the engine and other technical stuff, Volvo is known for its high quality safety and luxury comfort in its cars. And the new 2013 Volvo V40 Cross Country will also be loaded with the same. Therefore, if priced right and introduced in diesel option, the car might just turn out to be a lucky one for Volvo India and help the firm establish even more here.
