Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Wagon R To Launch On January 23, 2019
According to the reports received from authentic sources country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to introduce the refreshed version of its hatchback Wagon R in the Indian car market on January 23, 2019. The new Wagon R is reported to launch against recently launched Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago. The new Wagon R is reported to be offered in the price slot of Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom price) and equipped with a bunch of new features. It is also reported that the Indo-Japanese car maker will launch the electric version of Wagon R sometimes in 2020, with a new look but studded with the same badge.
Talking about the features that would be offered in the new Wagon R, it will be continued with the existing 1 litre, 3-cylinder, K10 engine that would be mated with five-speed manual gearbox and with an option of five-speed AMT gearbox. The new Wagon R will also be offered with CNG option to combat with the new Hyundai Santro. Inside the cabin, the top variant will be equipped with the touchscreen infotainment system, rearview parking camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Along with this, the interior will be more spacious to offer comfortable seating experience to the passengers. It is believed that a spacious cabin will be USP for the new version of Wagon R.
On the exterior front, it will continue its tall boy design pattern which misses in the new Santro. Along with this, it will also carry the boxier design language with few curves for enhancing its look with the integration of features like LED tail lamps and alloy wheels. The final outlook will, however, be revealed at the time of its launch.
