Next Generation Of Ertiga Launched By The Maruti Suzuki India Limited
Finally after a long wait and going through the increasing competition in the segment with the launch of Marazzo by the domestic carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra, country’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the refreshed Ertiga in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom price New Delhi) for the petrol variant and Rs. 9.18 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for the diesel variant. In its new avatar the Ertiga totally receives the new look in form of new design, which is miles ahead from the outgoing model. The major attractions on the exterior front include new headlamps and projector lens followed by the boomerang-shaped LED tail lamps. On the front side the top end variants are offered with the fifteen-inch alloy wheels, whereas the base and mid-sized trims are offered with steel wheels.
Underhood, the petrol variant is empowered with 1.5 litre K15 engine that is capable of generating the power of 103 bhp and the torque of 138Nm. The same engine is also offered in the Ciaz segment. The transmission duty is performed by five-speed manual gear transmission system along with the option of four-speed automatic gear transmission system. The petrol variant with manual gear transmission is reported to deliver an average of 19.34 kmpl, while the AMT variant is reported to deliver the fuel efficiency of 18.69 kmpl. The diesel variant is energized with 1.3 litre DDiS 200 engine that develops the power of 89 bhp and the torque of 200Nm. The transmission duties in the diesel variant are performed by five-speed manual gear transmission system. The diesel variant delivers the fuel efficiency of 25.47 kmpl approved by ARAI. The new Ertiga will also be offered with SHVS mild hybrid options in both the variants.
Talking about the dimensions new the Ertiga looks the enlarged version of outgoing model, thus offering a spacious cabin to the passengers not only for sitting but also carrying big luggage. The other notable features offered inside the cabin are touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoPlay in the top end trims. Along with the features like roof mounted air conditioner vents for the passengers of the third row, wooden inserts on the steering wheel and the dashboard further enhance the list of features offered inside the cabin.
