Paris Motor Show 2014: Next Generation Hyundai i20 launched
Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has launched the generation next i20 hatchback designed for European car during the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2014. The hew avatar of Hyundai i20 launched during the show is already being sold in Indian car market as Elite i20 and is promoted as an advanced version of the same with integration of some more features and engine options for European car market.
The major change introduced in Hyundai Elite i20 generation is additional engine options 1.4 litre petrol and 1.1 litre diesel engine options apart from 1.2 litre and 1.4 litre engine options offered in Indian car market. It is also reported that the car maker will also introduce 1.0 litre T-GDI turbocharged engine producing the power of 120 bhp and torque of 172Nm. This engine will however be introduced from January next year.
As far as integration of additional features offered in next generation i20 apart from Elite i20 includes six airbags, hill start control, Lane Departure Warning System. The deliveries of hatchback in European market are expected to begin from next month. As far as integration of these features in version of generation next i20 in Indian car market is concerned it is not when these features would be offered in India, however it is reported that company might soon offer day time running lamps in Indian version of Elite i20.
