Porsche launches Cayenne 2015 in Indian car market, priced Rs. 1.04 Crore (ex-showroom price)
German luxurious car maker Porsche has launched the upgraded version of Cayenne in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 1.04 crore (ex-showroom price New Delhi). Prior to this the car maker had showcased SUV during Paris Motor Show 2014 held two months back in October. Apart from offering subtle changes on exteriors and interiors the engine of SUV has also been tweaked. It has been launched in four trims namely Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S Diesel, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo.
Addressing the launch event of New Cayenn Mr. Anil Reddi said, the new version of Cayenne carries the original features, high performance and driveability of Cayenne for which it is known for. Mr. Reddi also added that whatever the condition of road is, the new Cayenne will deliver incredible driving experience to its customers and enjoy the fun of features adorned in this unique SUV. It would be interested to know that different trims offered in Cayenne are enriched with different engine specifications. To begin with Cayenne diesel is empowered with 3.0 litre V6 engine boosting the power of 4400 and torque of 1750. This version can accelerate the speed from standstill to 100 kmph in 7.6 seconds and top speed of 218 km/h. Next trim Cayenne S diesel is empowered with 4.2 litre V8 engine boosting the power of 390 PS and torque of 850Nm. This variant picks the speed from zero to 100 kmph impressively within the span of 5.4 seconds followed by top speed of 252 kmph. Moving ahead the Cayenne bestows the new 3.6 litre V6 bi-petrl engine, replacing the earlier 4.8 ltre V8 enigne. The new engine generates the power of 426 PS and torque of 550Nm. It touches the mark of 100 kmph in the span of 5.5 seconds with the top speed of 259 kmph. Finally the last and top end trim Cayenne Turbo which is empowered with 4.8 litre bi-turbo V8 engine generating the power of 527 PS and torque of 750Nm. Interestingly this version hits the mark of 100 kmph within the period of 4.5 seconds and the top speed of 279 kmph.
Moving towards cosmetic changes the exteriors receive four point LED daytime running lamps, new bonnet. The air intakes now replace the LED indicators. On the rear side it receives newly developed tail lamps, boot handle, and license plate. The rear bumper now covers the dual exhausts. As far as the side profile is concerned it almost remains the same. Moving inside the cabin one will not find many changes except the integration of 918 inspired three spoke steering wheel. The paddle shifters have now been offered as standard feature in all the trims.
