Renault confirms the launch of Kwid 1.0 litre on August 22, 2016
It is now finally confirmed by Renault India, the Indian arm of French car maker Renualt, that it will launch the upgraded version of its hatchback Kwid with 1.0 litre engine in Indian car market on August 22, 2016. With this the company has also started receiving bookings with the down payment of Rs. 10,000. The upgraded 1.0 litre engine will generate the power of 68 PS followed by torque of 91 Nm and mated with five manual gearbox. According to reports company is speculating to bring its AMT version also in market during the upcoming festive season to lure the buyers.

The 1.0 litre Renault Kwid will be offered in two trims RxT and RxT (O) and will continue most of the features offered in its less powerful variant comprising of driver side airbag and seven MEDIA NAV touchscreen system. On the exteriors also it is reported to carry most of its cue from the existing version except the display of black and white chequers marked with 1.0 Alphabet at the beneath of both sides.

It would be interested to know that launched almost a year back to assess the reaction of Indian buyers towards this hatchback, French car maker introduced Renault Kwid empowered with 800 cc engine. But surprisingly the car succeeded in impressing the all segments of buyers with its performance and looks. The success of Kwid can be witnessed from more than 1,50,000 bookings it garnered till July 2016, since it launch in September 2015.
