Renault Kwid: Upgraded version coming in June 2016
Kwid the hatchback from French car maker Renault has garnered huge success in Indian car market since its launch and now with an objective to exploit the success, company is going to bring its upgraded version enriched with 1.0 litre petrol engine. Prior to this company has showcased the upgraded version during Indian Auto Expo 2016 and succeeded in receiving an over whelming response from audiences. According to reports the 1.0 litre engine would be launched sometimes during the month of June in 2016 followed by Easy R-MAT trim during festive season. After launch in Indian car market Kwid has emerged as one of the most affordable cars in global market offering tough competition of Alto 800 from country’s leading car maker MSIL. The features which differentiate Kwid from its contenders are its design philosophy which makes it look like a mini SUV, digital instrument cluster, spacious cabin, touchscreen infotainment system and many more.

According to reports the upgraded version of Kwid will undergo changes only in powertrain and there would be subtle cosmetic changes to make it look different from its entry level version. The new 1.0 litre engine is reported to generate the power of 67 bhp and coated with five speed manual gearbox transmission system. The AMT version will also be enriched with same 1.0 litre petrol engine but instead of being equipped with gear shift knob it will be offered with gear rotor integrated on central console. Apart , from these features it is expected to be upgraded with some safety measures like dual air bags and ABS as standard feature on all variants. With refreshed engine configuration and additional safety feature this avatar of Renault Kwid is expected to witness hike in price also which might start from Rs. 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom price).
