Renault Launches Kwid AMT with price tag of Rs. 4.25 lakh
Finally the French car maker Renault has launched the AMT version of Kwid hatchback in Indian car market with starting price tag of Rs. 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). After compact SUV Duster, Kwid is considered as energy booster for car maker which is playing a vital role in improvising the situation of company in Indian car market. The AMT version has been introduced in its top end variant RXT.

The notable feature of Renault Kwid AMT is that it does not carry the conventional automatic gear knob but sports a rotating dial with alphabets R, N and D mounted on it. Named as Easy-R system, the driver has option of enjoying driving with five speed automated manual transmission system. The newly introduced automatic system facilitates the driver to drive his car smoothly in complex driving situations. The AMT Kwid is empowered with 1.0 litre petrol engine that is capable of boosting the power of 67 bhp and torque of 91Nm and interestingly is more fuel efficient than compared to variants enriched with manual transmission system. The AMT system is claimed to deliver fuel efficient performance of 24.04 km// whereas the variant with manual transmission system delivers an average of 23.01 km/l.

Talking about the additional features offered in AMT Kwid apart from standard 1.0 Kwid include MediaNav multimedia and navigation system followed by spacious cabin. Addressing the launch of new Renault Kwid AMT, Mr. Sumit Sawhney, CEO and Managing Director, Renault India, said, that going through the preferences of car enthusiasts it is witnessed that customers are shifting more towards compact hatchbacks and Renault is proud to introduce an AMT system which will give new direction automatic cars in Indian car market. It is believed that launch of AMT Kwid will give new directions to strengthening the position of French car maker in country.
