Rumour: Ford Ecosport India price out!

American car maker Ford will soon be entering into the Indian compact SUV car market with launch of Ford Ecosport SUV. The company has already received much popularity in entry level hatchback and mid-size sedan car segment with Ford Figo and Ford Fiesta respectively. And now, ahead of official launch, rumours are in air that Ford Ecosport price for domestic market has leaked out and it will be offered in three engine options like 1.0L Ecoboost, 1.5L Petrol and 1.5L Diesel.

As per leaked information, the base variant of 1.0L Ecoboost engine powered Ecosport would be offered at Rs 948111 while the price of 1.5L diesel engine model's base variant would be tagged at Rs 1000000 (Ex-showroom). If the company launches Ecosport SUV with this price range, then the new beast will be a direct challenger of hit compact SUVs like Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto.

The launch of Ford Ecosport SUV will happen in Indian auto market this month, and ahead of launch the company is displaying this eye-catchy model in various cities' shopping malls across the country. It is being manufactured at Ford India's Chennai plant. The company may export this new launching made-in-India model of the compact SUV to European markets. The Ecosport is a global SUV model by American auto giant which has already been launched in Brazilian and Chinese auto markets.
