Suzuki Wagon R Crossover to be showcased at Jakarta Fair
Grapevine is that PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, the Indonesian arm of Japanese car maker Suzuki Motors will showcase the (Maruti) Suzuki Wagon R Crossover during the Jakarta Fair slated to begin from June 10, 2016. The concept of same was showcase by car maker during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 where it was christened as Maruti Suzuki Wagon R XRest. The exterior of this new look of Wagon R sports aggressive appearance in form of black colored plastic covering across the body along with silver skid guards on both front and rear bumpers. Apart from this it also adorns projector headlamps, new front grille, LED taillights etc. It is however not yet known that whether the specified version of Wagon R Crossover will launched in global market or only in local market.
Under the bonnet it will continue with existing 1.0 litre K10 engine which is offered in existing Maruti Suzuki Wagon R boosting the power of 68 PS and torque of 90Nm, and mated with five speed manual gearbox and also with five speed AMT system. The move by car maker for offering Crossover version of Wagon R sounds something interesting in today’s scenario when new car enthusiasts prefer to buy entry level cars offered by renowned car makers.
