Two new variants to be added in Renault Kwid portfolio

It is reported that encouraged from the overwhelming response received by recently launched hatchback KWID in Indian car market at competitive price of Rs. 2.56 lakh (ex-showroom price), French car maker Renault is going to extend its family with two more variants codenamed as Racer and Climber. Although the reports do not reveal any information regarding the features that would be offered in these new variants but reports suggest that among the upcoming new variants Racer might be a sportier variant which will embellish features like sporty alloy wheels and body graphics. Whereas the being an off-roader Climber may bestow features like skid plates, roof rails and diffuser.

Empowered with 799 cc 3 cylinder petrol engine  boosting the power of 54 PS and torque of 72 Nm the KWID delivers fuel efficient performance of 25.17 kmpl and mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. The hatchback is offered in four trims namely Standard, RxE, RxL and RxT and has emerged as strong contender to existing dominating hatchbacks Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto.  The worth mentioning feature of KWID is its stylish look which at first instance gives an impression of compact SUV, apart from this another interesting feature of this hatchback is its competitive price with contemporary features.

With boot space of 300 litre, has ground clearance of 180mm with wheelbase of 2422 mm. It 3679 mm lengthy, 1579 mm high and has width of 1471mm.
