Upgraded Renault Kwid with 1.0 litre engine landing this month
According to reports received from some of the authentic sources Renault India, the Indian arm of French car maker Renault is going to launch the upgraded version of Kwid hatchback sometimes during this month. The upgraded version of hatchback is reported to be empowered 1.0 litre engine configuration and is expected to lure the buyers, expecting Kwid to come with more powerful engine configuration.
The existing version of Renault Kwid is empowered with 0.8 litre three cylinder SCe petrol engine that churns the power of 52 hp and delivers ARAI accredited average of 25.13 kmpl. The proposed 1.0 litre engine is anticipated to generate the power between 65-70 hp and fuel efficiency equivalent to its current version. The new 1.0 litre engine is expected to be mated with five speed manual gearbox system followed by Easy-R AMT system in the top end trims.
As far as cosmetic changes on exteriors and interiors are concerned that new Kwid will be almost same without any change. However it is reported to be offered with option of dual airbags in top end variants, it is also expected that company might offer ABS system in new Kwid. According to company sources the new Kwid will be strictly according to safety norms determined government of India.
