Variants of 2017 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Leaked Ahead of its Launch

According to recent industry reports country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to sale the 2017 Ciaz sedan through Nexa dealerships across the country. The new Ciaz is going to make its debut soon in Indian car market and recently details related with 2017 Ciaz are leaked in cyber world. From the leaked information it is revealed that to make the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz adaptable to the cars sold through Nexa dealers the existing variants namely VDi, Zxi and LDi will be named as Sigma, Zeta, Delta and Alpha. Along with this it is also reported that one more variant christened as “S” will be introduced in the existing line-up of Ciaz. The S variant is speculated to carry the sportier look and will outsource most of the features as offered in Ciaz RS.

It is believed that with introduction of S variant the RS Ciaz will also be dropped out from the Ciaz portfolio. That means now the Indo-Japanese car makers will make use of RS badge only for its best selling hatchback Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS. Along with these new variants one more variant Taxi will also be introduced in the new line-up of Ciaz, that will be specially targeted for taxi operators. As far as variants with automatic transmission system are concerned, the automatic transmission system will be offered only with petrol trims including the proposed Taxi trim. The variants of 2017 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are spotted at the yards of Nexa dealers.

As far as mechanical changes are considered the new Ciaz will continue the existing engine configuration of 1.4 litre 4 cylinder engine that generates the power of 92.5 PS and torque of 130Nm, while the diesel to be empowered with 1.3 litre turbocharged Multijet diesel engine with SHVS technology boosting the power of 90 PS and torque of 200Nm. Both the variants are equipped with five speed manual transmission along with an option of four speed automatic transmission system available in petrol variant.
