Volkswagen Up making news
Volkswagen Up! is fast becoming a new face of small hatchbacks. It is being a special attraction at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is being praised for its small size, practicality and really low price.
Volkswagen Up is as small as Maruti Alto, but it high on space. It is a genuine four seater with four doors. It is powered by 1L three cylinder petrol engine that has power of 59bhp and 74bhp, as per different variants.

Though, the speculations are that Up! will be launched with a 59bhp engine in India. The mileage Volkswagen Up returns is above 20 kilometres per litre, which is another plus point of the car. Volkwagen hasn't denied the possibility of a diesel engined Up! in the future.
Volkswagen Up will be launched in Europe by the end of this year, and according to sources it will be launched in India next year. Up! is expected to be big hit in India, as there's a big market for hatchbacks here. It will give stiff competition to cars like Maruti Alto, Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai's soon to be launched Hyundai Eon.

This will be Volkswagen's cheapest car till date. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 4 Lacs for the Indian market. However, the car will still have all the luxuries a Volkswagen car offers. Its interiors will be excellent, plus it will be spacious and a genuine four seater. The look of this compact car is futurisitc.

Nice car at a good price. More performance and fule economy please. It seems with a larger engine the UP would get better performance and fuel economy.
