Volkswagen Up may miss Delhi Auto Expo
In the second half of the year 2011, there had been reports that were making waves about the Volkswagen’s smallest car till date named ‘Volkswagen Up’ is to be exhibited at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. But now, as the event is approaching near, it seems that the German auto giant, Volkswagen, has withdrawn its earlier plans and will no more be displaying its mini car VW Up in the Auto Expo.
This revised decision of the company has come into effect, as it is finding difficult to price its small car competitively in the crowded hatchback segment of the country. In order to get the desired results, the company needs to position its small hatch in the price bracket of INR 3 to 4 Lakh and currently it has become difficult for Volkswagen to shape its product in the said range.

One of the 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine is able to generate maximum power of 59 bhp with other of the same configuration offers higher power of 74 bhp. There is no diesel run engine in its existing lineup.
Volkswagen; which is the parent company to Spanish automaker SEAT and Czech based Skoda, intends to launch two more small cars in future from its subsidiary stables namely SEAT Mii and Citigo, apart from Volkswagen Up.
