Volvo Launches V40 and V40 Cross Country in Indian Car Market
Sweden based carmaker Volvo has launched the refreshed version of its premium hatchback V40 and V40 Cross Country in the Indian car market with price tag of Rs. 25.49 lakh and 27.2 lakh (ex-showroom price) respectively. In their upgraded version the V40 duo undergoes wide cosmetic updates. Under the bonnet both the cars continue to powered with their existing engine configuration of 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine boosting the power of 150 bhp and torque of 150 bhp, with transmission duty performed by six speed automatic transmission system.

In the bandwagon of new updates introduced in the V40 twins the most notable features at first instance are Volvo’s conventional Thor’s Hammer headlights, which have been for the first time offered in V40 cars. Similarly, it is for the first time that both the cars have been customised with new waterfall design grille followed by company’s large logo at the centre. The side profile receives new alloy wheels. Moving inside the cabin you will find three options of leather trims for V40 and five options of leather trims for V40 CC along with dual colour treatment.

Moving towards the safety features which are considered as one of the prioritized features of Volvo cars and from that point of view both these cars are not an exception. The list of safety features include Pedestrian Airbags, 2-stage front airbags with drivers knee bag, safety cage, dynamic stability & Traction control, side impact protection, emergency brake assist system with ABS, whiplash protection, pretensioners for front seats and many more.
Along with these launches Swedish car maker also established its new 3S Showroom in Kochi, Kerala.
