Volvo V40 Cross Country petrol launched in Indian car market
Finally after the long gap of two years Volvo Auto India, the Indian arm of Swedish car maker has launched the petrol version of its hatchback Volvo V40 Cross Country hatchback in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 27 lakh (Ex-showroom price, Mumbai). The petrol trim is empowered with T4, 1.6 GDTi 4 cylinder engine boosting the power of 180 HP and torque of 240 Nm. It is mated with six speed automatic transmission system. The newly introduced GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) is endorsed to offer fuel efficient performance.

Addressing the launch of new petrol Volvo V40 Cross Country hatchback in Indian car market Mr. Tomas Ernberg, Managing Director, Volvo India, said that they are excited to launch the petrol version of this hatchback in Indian car market. He also added that going through the exclusive success enjoyed by the diesel trim in June 2013 company decided to bring the petrol trim of V40 Cross Country in Indian car market. Apart from this petrol trim the car maker also speculates to bring two more luxurious cars in Indian car market in coming four to five months. And going through the increasing trend towards luxurious car company finds huge growth potential in Indian car market.
Apart from this car other vehicles offered by this car maker in India are Volvo S80, Volvo S60, Volvo XC60, Volvo V40 Cross Country and Volvo XC90. All these cars sold across the country from its dealer network located in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam and Pune.
