Volvo V40 Cross Country launched in India

Swedish luxury carmaker Volvo has finally launched its much anticipated luxury compact crossover Volvo V40 Cross Country in Indian auto market. For Indian customers the Volvo Crossover has been made available as CBU Unit (Complete Built Unit). So, the new V40 Cross Country is priced at Rs 28.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Volvo Auto India reported that Bajaj Allianz will insure the vehicle in the country as per their tie-up.

The company is offering the V40 Cross Country with only one variant called the V40 D3. On the launching occasion of new vehicle, it is reported that the company will also launch freshed version of their sedan S60 and SUV XC60 in country in October this year to boost the sales. At present, it is offering four car models like XC90, XC60 (SUVs) and S80 and S60 (sedans). With its newly launched model the company would try to push sales mark by 50 per cent this year to about 1,200 units.
 

The new Volvo V40 is powered by a powerful and fuel economical 2L, 5 cylinder diesel engine which is announced to offer a mileage of over 16 kmpl on long drives. Its standard features are awesome like front passenger and driver airbags, curtain airbags, knee airbags, ABS, ESP, City Safety System, front seats with whiplash protection and many more. At here, the new beast by Swedish auto major will directly give competition to BMW X1 which is priced between Rs 27.9 lakh and Rs 32.5 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
