Volvo opens showroom in Kochi

The global automakers have by now realized that India is not only restricted to being a small car or sedan driven market, but also has a bright prospect for premium luxury cars. Hence, with a motive to elevate the premium segment, Volvo; the Sweden based automobile manufacturer has banged the Indian doors with the launch of its new showroom based in Kochi.

The retail outlet with the name MGF Auto is owned by Mr. Siddharth Gupta and is situated at Kundannur in Kochi. The display area is large with 3500 sq. ft. of space more than sufficient to showcase the wide variety of Volvo vehicles under one roof. Prior to this the Swedish carmaker has placed its showroom in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Pune.

Mr. Thomas Ern Berg; the Managing Director of Volvo in India, inaugurated the showroom and was confident that in southern of India the Volvo brand will surely receive a decent response in terms of sales.

It is expected that with the opening of this showroom the rival luxury brands like Audi, Mecedes Benz, Volkswagen and BMW will face hard times ahead. The Volvo showroom will not only be restricted to sale but also will offer luxury products, accessories and quality after sales service for which the company is acknowledged worldwide.

Currently in India Volvo sells its finest luxury sedans in the form Volvo C70, Volvo S80, and Volvo S60, along with Volvo XCV90 and Volvo XC60 in the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment. All of these vehicles will be a part of newly inaugurated showroom.
